"Sorry that I haven't kept this page up to date this season. Our Area winner of the Senior Cup was Kirton & Falkenham, who beat Waldringfield by 2 shots in the Final, and in the Junior Cup Sweffling had an 11 shot win over Yoxford. Unfortunately both teams had narrow defeats against Norbridge sides in the County Semi Finals, the Senior by 2 shots and the Junior by 5. Both games seemed to be in the Area B bag until the very end when Norbridge sneaked through to steal places in the County Finals.

Star of the Area B Finals of the County competitions was 16 year old Lee Calver who had terrific games to take the Under 25 Singles away from Lee Spraggs and the Champion of Champions from one of the 2011 National Senior Pairs Champions, Eric Titshall. Peter Baggots win in the 2 Bowl Singles sets up a potentially great match against the legendary Jimmy Summons in the County Finals.

Your Marie Denny side won a hard fought Semi Final against Area C at the end of June by 12 shots and will now take on Area A, in a repeat of last years final, on Sunday, 12th August at Ixworth. It starts at 3pm so why not come along and give them your support?"

 

Finally congratulations to Sue Williams and Eric Titshall on winning the Mixed Pairs title at the County Finals which were held at Wenhaston.
