Regulating and promoting the game of Federation Bowls in the county of Suffolk
Suffolk County Bowls Association organises the Federation code of bowling in the County of Suffolk..  In total there are 133 Bowls Clubs affiliated to the County - although some are not geographically in Suffolk; (+ 6 who are affiliated for leagues only). These clubs participate in 14 affiliated leagues, and compete in over 12 knockout cup competitions.  The total membership of male bowlers alone is in excess of 3500 and each one has the opportunity of entering most of the 14 county competitions.   Bowlers moving to Suffolk are amazed at the amount of competitive bowling that goes on in the county.  Some of our clubs also play the Bowls England version of the game.  If you have moved to Suffolk, or want to take up bowls as a sport and are looking for a club, check out the maps in the Area pages to find one close to where you live.
Because the number of participants and clubs is so great, the county is organised into 4 geographical areas;  A, B, C and D. The map on the right gives an indication of the clubs in each area.  Area ‘A’ clubs are coloured green, Area ‘B’ yellow, area ‘C’ blue and Area ‘D’ red.  The Area pages list all the clubs in that area together with a link to club web sites/information pages where they exist.  Full contact details of all clubs can be found in the County Handbook or by contacting the appropriate Area secretary who may be emailed by using the link in the  Contacts page.
